Calling All Entrepreneurs and Business Owners

Entrepreneurs’ Network of Michigan and Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce are proud supporters of a research study that is currently underway to examine the role of courage as a leadership attribute in entrepreneurship. 

Entrepreneurs’ Network of Michigan and the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce invites you to participate in an exploration study designed to learn more about courage in entrepreneurship and to test how entrepreneurs define and view the role, actions and the importance of courage in owning a business. The Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce is one of the organizations that was selected to participate in this unique study and is one of the prime organizations designated to provide the bulk of responses from Midwestern entrepreneurs.  

An important aspect of the study is its focus on courage as a leadership attribute in business entrepreneurship, specifically exploring how entrepreneurs perceive the roles and actions of courage when owning a business.  The study is also an examination of the differences between male and female entrepreneurs’ perception of courage as leaders in operating their own businesses.

Why should I complete the online survey?

This topic has rarely been explored in business.  This is a grand opportunity for you to participate in a research study that is exploratory and will advance the body of knowledge on this ground breaking topic.  This research study is conducted by a doctoral student of Walsh College.  Walsh College full-time Professors Lee Meadows, Ph.D.; Sheila Ronis, Ph.D.; and Marla Scafe, Ph.D., along with Walsh College Adjunct Assistant Professor Richard Radners, Jr., Ed.D. serve on the dissertation committee and the Institutional Review Board of Walsh College has approved this research.
